Instill and keep
One client said “… I needed to tell you- your name of your new business…. is amazing. I have no idea if your real plan was to ‘instill and keep’ the goodness in people or things- but that’s how I take it. And I’m not going to lie…. The idea of keeping the good! Showing and ‘preserving’ the good. I literally cannot tell you enough how wonderful this is.” Well, I didn’t plan it, God did, but I feel the same way about the name. Years ago, I started putting it on my homemade jars of jam and when I started teaching others how to can on social media the name still just fit perfectly.
Our backstory to why we created Preserving Goodness
My husband was encouraging me to find a hobby I enjoyed. I was perplexed by the thought. A hobby? This all came at a time of true soul searching for me. I knew two things: I loved spending time with my family and I loved canning.
I love the art of canning. I love working on our canning projects with my daughter. That time with her feels precious. I love creating new recipes and having clients love them! I love the labels and putting them on as the last step to a finished project. I love thinking about how life can be reflected on during the whole process. It’s a time for me to create, worship God and find success in it all.
